Based on the development plan revised by planquadrat, a new residential quarter was created between Taunusstraße and Mirabellenweg on the outskirts of Friedrichsdorf. It is divided into three three-storey terraced buildings, the first floor of which is integrated into the ground as a basement due to the terrain in the north, and a four-storey point block. The storeys and cubature of the buildings respond to the heterogeneous, small-scale structure of the surrounding residential buildings and create a harmonious extension of the residential area.
The new buildings are exposed to noise pollution from the nearby outdoor pool, which made extensive noise protection measures necessary. planquadrat therefore developed an effective system of loggias with curtain-type glass elements, which guarantee effective summer ventilation in addition to noise protection. All 60 apartments, which vary in size, also have open balconies on the side facing away from the noise. The buildings have barrier-free access from an elevated garden path and share an underground parking garage.
