Housing requirements in Seligenstadt are constantly increasing. As part of the sustainable settlement development, existing potentials for residential building areas are being identified and implemented. The construction area "South west of the west ring“ represents this type of development area with around 21 hectares and is being developed by planquadrat from the feasibility study to the urban land use planning.

The objective is to create a lively district with a diverse range of high quality types of housing and attractive public open spaces. Smaller commercial units at the edge of the district and two more day-care centres for children are planned. The differentiated green spaces that traverse  the area are characteristic or the new residential district.

The main development passes through the district as a green avenue. A spacious district park with listed crossroads and existing trees worthy of preservation can be found along this axis at a central location. Bordering to the the south is an existing orchard that opens up in the adjacent green space.

The roads and pathways link the new district to the existing urban structure of Seligenstadt and strengthen the existing cycle tracks and footpaths.
