Technology Campus Augsburg

For the further development of the Technology Campus in Augsburg, planquadrat, in collaboration with the Augsburg office OPLA, is presenting an urban master plan that envisages the transformation of a car park area into an innovative, sustainable and urban quarter with diverse uses. The new campus creates a new location for research, teaching, science, high-tech companies and production in Augsburg, which allows for numerous synergies. The new buildings are divided into eight building plots with three to six-storey buildings for commerce and services such as office and administration buildings, medical facilities and medical centres, as well as retail and catering areas and a day-care centre. The "Campus" neighbourhood square as a shared, central open space in the new technology campus is planned as a place for employees of the various companies to meet, communicate and exchange ideas, and is also intended to create added value as a venue for exhibitions, trade fairs, music events, open-air cinema and markets with an appeal that extends beyond the boundaries of the project.
