A detailed interview with Anne Schultheis and Jörg Krämer about the system of innovative office concepts we have developed appeared in the March issue of Deutsches Architektenblatt (DAB) on the topic of ‘Communicative’.
As part of the Munich PlanTreff, a series of public events organised by the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations, Markus Helfrich gave a presentation on our residential project in Chiemgaustraße in March.
Studico - the conversion of a former administrative building from the 1950s into a student residence - was honoured with the polis Award 2023 at the two-day polis Convention in Düsseldorf in April.
In spring, we joined the ‘Phase Sustainability’ initiative, which was launched jointly by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and the German Federal Chamber of Architects (BAK).
At the end of May, we took part in this year's Merck company run with over 6,000 participants on a beautiful day and with a fantastic atmosphere. A total of 15 runners in neon orange jerseys took to the starting line for the planquadrat team.
At the nationwide Day of Architecture on the last weekend in June, we were represented with the Canvas Living project in Frankfurt's new residential neighbourhood, the Lyoner Quartier. The building was also featured in a film on rheinmaintv, which was broadcast on the occasion of the Day of Architecture.
A total of 10 starters from our PQ team finished the Darmstadt 10 Friends Triathlon in the heat, exhausted but happy.
On 16th September, we celebrated the reopening of Darmstadt's Residenzschloss with many participants and guests, which is now being used as a ‘science palace’ for TU Darmstadt with many different uses.
On 19th September, numerous project participants, representatives of municipal offices, authorities and politicians as well as property companies and housing associations accepted our invitation to view our neighbourhood development in Frankfurt's Gallus district.
At the end of September, we celebrate a big office party in Darmstadt - the motto this time is ‘Future’.
We have been planquadrat Elfers Geskes Krämer GmbH since 1st October and have thus laid the foundations for a secure future.
At a festive awards ceremony in Munich on 11th October, our Kleyerstraße residential quarter in the Gallusviertel district of Frankfurt am Main received the ‘Residential Building of the Year’ award.
Our managing directors Robert Müller and Claudia Becker took part in the constituent meetings of the working groups of the ‘Serial, modular and systemic construction’ round table at the DAZ in Berlin at the beginning of November.
Two of our pioneering residential construction concepts in serial and modular construction, which we developed together with the Lechner Group, were awarded the contract in a Europe-wide tender process organised by the GdW.
Our Studico student residence was honoured with a plaque for particularly sustainable refurbishment and conversion of existing buildings at the ‘Climate Prize for Sustainable Building and Refurbishment’ awarded by the City of Science Darmstadt at the end of November.
