Unfortunately we were only able to meet virtually for our traditional 2021 New Year’s reception. But even so we were able to jointly raise our glasses to toast our health from a safe distance and thoroughly enjoy the humorous address by Aurora DeMeehl.

In April we welcomed a film team from the new transmission format “Release & Talk“ from The Frankfurter on rheinmainTV to our office in Darmstadt in order to document trailblazing examples of sustainable architecture with our current projects “Messplatz Darmstadt” and SpringPark VALLEY.

On the Day of Architecture on the last weekend in June we had the pleasure of presenting as many as four current residential construction projects to the public in Darmstadt. As a result of the pandemic those interested in architecture went on a discovery tour by themselves with the help of a flyer we had published.

Since August our employees have had the possibility of leasing service bicycles via JobRad. Besides a financial and health advantage for each individual, in this way we are making a contribution to the environment and an ecological traffic turn.

In terms of competitions 2021 turned out to be an exceedingly successfully year once again: with our designs for the construction fields A3 and H1 in Frankfurt’s Schönhof district, we succeeded in winning all of two 1st prizes. Likewise we were awarded a 1st prize for our innovative residential concept at the northern border to Würzburg’s district of Hubland. We achieved the 3rd prize in the realisation competition for a science park in Berlin-Marienfelde.

A special award was bestowed upon SpringPark VALLEY in Bad Vilbel: the jury from the Architecture MasterPrize tendered worldwide gave a praising mention for our master plan in the category of landscape architecture and urban planning.

In November, our Studico student residence was finally awarded a plaque by the city of Darmstadt for its greening concept as well as its energy and mobility concept.
