The building plot is located in the centre of Hahn in the direct vicinity of the town hall and community centre. Originating from the urban conceptual framework, that was developed in two workshops together with civilians, representatives of the municipal bodies, the trade association and the administration, the concept takes up the results generated there and puts the urban and qualitative objectives in concrete terms.
The planned development adheres to the proportionality of the surrounding structures, however beyond this creates a 4-storey high point, that marks the entrance to the newly developed Hahn centre. A spacious district square with a cafe is being built in a protected and sunny place, offering high qualities of stay. The area is being developed by diverse barrier-free and car-free passageways.
The new buildings comprise a wide mix of apartments, space for doctors' practices, offices and administrations as well as a restaurant. The building ensemble along Aalstrasse towards the bus station ends with "Haus der Beteiligung“, an office building with municipal undertakings. Special attention was paid here to the design of the entrances in terms of giving the municipal undertakings the opportunity to present in a public space and to thus promote communication with the civilians.
