Modular building

Architecture, Residential Buildings, Competitions

On the basis of a Europe-wide call for tender by the umbrella organisation GdW, planquadrat developed room modules that are prefabricated in massive construction and can be put together in an extremely flexible system. Along with a high degree of flexibility and a good price-performance ratio, the residential buildings constructed in this way show a very high level of quality of architecture that was decisive for winning the competition.

The system can be adapted in a single module as well as as a building in depth, length and height so that the modules can be joined together from the detached house up to seven-storey apartment buildings. Barrier-free apartments are possible in each house type. It is also possible to react quickly and easily to slopes, different alignments to direction, noise pollutions or building height graduations.

The member companies under the umbrella of GdW can now access the designs and realise their new building projects simply and effectively on the basis of a framework agreement.
