In the Mainz district of Lerchenberg a new residential area was built on the edge of the Mainz orchards, comprising 6 residential buildings with a total of 111 residential units and a joint underground car park. A renovated high-rise building is likewise located on the southern part of the plot. The residential buildings fit into the open landscape as individual solitary buildings and react to the existing topography with their number of storeys. The structures are loosely arranged around two courtyards.

Characteristic for the residential buildings is playing with protruding balconies and loggias that were joined to each other as cubes and make each building unique together with the individual colour of each building. Each residential unit has at least one balcony, a terrace or roof terrace and has spacious window openings that enable a diverse reference to the surrounding nature.
