  • Phases: 1, 2
  • Planning time: 2012

At the headquarters of the technological concern Heraeus in Hanau planquadrat took on the order to renovate two administration buildings (buildings 612 and 613). The measure comprised the construction of a new two-storey passage, enabling logistical access to the assembly line and the demolition of the head-end structure at building 613. Furthermore, expansion measures were carried out in the interior and both structures were linked with each other in such a way that the development is organised more effectively.

FACADE: in the course of the renovation measures planquadrat took on the new design of the facade from the 1970s. The facade formerly horizontally structured with green facade panels will acquire a dark red clinker facade that is structured with vertical, dark grey window strips. The penthouse floor is likewise kept in dark grey and is powerfully withdrawn compared to the main facade. This makes the main structure with its lively clinker facade come to the forefront like a monolithic sculpture.
